Barack Obama's endorsement of gay spousals triggered a tempest of reactions from LGBT, godly and national leaders.

Many Jewish groups including the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism and the godly Action Center of Reform Judaism came out in brace of Obama, as did a enumerate of Christian groups.

But not everyone was light-hearted. Joel Hunter, one of the President's incorporeal advisors, expressed foiling about Obama's determination. Timothy Cardinal Dolan of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops said that Obama's remarks were "profoundly saddening."
